Getting started
- Open mail.ecomhutsy.com, or install the Windows or Android app.
- Enter your full email address and its password, then Sign in. The server settings of most providers are found automatically.
- To add more mailboxes, use the + next to Mailboxes in the menu. You can connect up to 12.
Works with cPanel and CyberPanel hosting, Plesk, DirectAdmin, Zoho Mail, ECOMHUTSY mailboxes, Gmail, Google Workspace, Yahoo Mail and any mailbox with IMAP and SMTP.
Gmail and Google Workspace
Google does not allow your normal Gmail password in other email apps. Use an App Password instead:
- Turn on 2-Step Verification in your Google Account (Security).
- Open myaccount.google.com/apppasswords, type a name such as "ECOMHUTSY Webmail" and choose Create.
- Copy the 16-character code and use it as the password when you sign in. Spaces do not matter.
Google Workspace addresses on your own domain work the same way. If App Passwords are not offered, your Workspace administrator has turned them off; ask them to allow it. You can revoke the App Password in your Google Account at any time.
Yahoo Mail
- Open Yahoo Account Security and turn on two-step verification.
- Choose Generate app password (or Manage app passwords), name it "ECOMHUTSY Webmail" and create it.
- Sign in with your Yahoo address and that code.
Outlook and Hotmail
Outlook.com, Hotmail and Live addresses cannot be added yet: Microsoft only allows them through its own sign-in, which ECOMHUTSY Webmail does not offer at this time. Business mailboxes on your own domain that are hosted elsewhere work normally.
Server settings
If your mailbox is not found automatically, choose Server settings (only if needed) when adding it and enter the details from your hosting control panel. In cPanel they are under Email Accounts, Connect Devices.
| Setting | Usual value |
|---|---|
| Incoming server (IMAP) | mail.yourcompany.com, port 993 (SSL/TLS) or 143 |
| Outgoing server (SMTP) | mail.yourcompany.com, port 465 (SSL/TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS) |
| Username | Usually your full email address |
Install the apps
Windows
- Download the installer from the apps section and open it.
- If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", choose More info, then Run anyway. This appears for new publishers.
- The app starts with your inbox, stays in the tray for new-mail notifications and can start with Windows.
Android
- Download the app from the apps section on your phone.
- Open the downloaded file. If Android asks, allow your browser to install apps, then Install.
- To update, install the newer version over the old one; your mailboxes stay.
If the installer says the file is damaged or an old version keeps installing, delete earlier ECOMHUTSY Webmail files from your Downloads and download again.
iPhone, iPad and Mac
Open mail.ecomhutsy.com in Safari and choose Share, Add to Home Screen (iPhone, iPad) or File, Add to Dock (Mac). It then opens full screen like an app.
Notifications
- Settings, Notifications: turn System notifications, New mail popups and Notification sound on or off, and pick a sound.
- In a browser, allow notifications when asked. If you blocked them, allow them again from the lock icon next to the address.
- On Android, allow notifications for ECOMHUTSY Webmail in the phone's Settings, Apps, Notifications.
Everyday use
- Primary, Promotions, Social: newsletters and social updates are kept out of Primary. On a phone the sections are in the menu.
- Conversations: replies are grouped with the original email. Received messages are on the left, yours on the right.
- Schedule send: the arrow next to Send, then Schedule send. Scheduled emails wait under Scheduled. In the apps they are sent while the app is running.
- Snooze: the clock in an open email (More menu on a phone) hides it until the time you pick.
- Labels: Create new label in the menu; move conversations into it with the folder button.
- Pictures in emails: Settings, Reading, Always display images turns automatic pictures on or off.
- Subscriptions: More, Manage subscriptions lists newsletters you receive.

Troubleshooting
- "The email address or password is not correct"
- Your mail server refused the password. Check it in your provider's own webmail. For Gmail or Yahoo, use an App Password (see above).
- "Too many failed sign-in attempts"
- Sign-in is paused for a few minutes after repeated wrong passwords. Wait for the time shown, then try again.
- "The mail server did not answer" or "could not be found"
- Check your internet connection, then enter the server settings from your hosting control panel under Server settings.
- A mailbox shows a red warning
- Its password changed or the server is unreachable. Open Settings, Mailbox settings and update the password.
- Pictures in an email do not show
- Choose Display images below in the email, or turn on Settings, Reading, Always display images.
- An email is in the wrong section
- Emails with an unsubscribe link go to Promotions and emails from social networks go to Social. Search finds every email whichever section it is in.
- Sent emails do not appear in Sent
- Wait a few seconds and refresh: some mail servers file sent email a moment later.
- No notifications
- Check Settings, Notifications in ECOMHUTSY Webmail, and that your browser or phone allows notifications for it.
Your account and data
- Sign out: Settings, Sign out. To sign out on every browser at once (for example after using a shared computer): Settings, Sign out of all devices.
- Delete everything ECOMHUTSY Webmail keeps: Settings, Delete my webmail data. See Delete your data.
- Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
